Cookham and Maidenhead Arts Trail Constitution

1. THE OFFICERS
  • The Officers of CAMAT shall be the Chair, the Treasurer and the Secretary, all of whom shall be proposed annually by the Committee.

  • Officers shall be elected or removed by a simple majority vote.

 

2. THE COMMITTEE
  • The Committee shall manage the affairs of CAMAT and administer its funds.

  • The Committee’s activities must align with the pursuit and fulfilment of CAMAT’S objectives.

  • The Committee may appoint sub-committees accountable to it for such purposes as it determines.

3. FINANCE
  • The CAMAT financial year shall run from October 1st to September 30th every year.

  • The Treasurer shall keep the books and records of all funds held by and on behalf of CAMAT and make them available for inspection by Members upon reasonable notice

  • The Committee shall authorise its Officers to arrange payment and re-imbursement of expenditure on behalf of CAMAT. The funds of CAMAT will be paid into current, deposit or investment accounts in the name of CAMAT with such banks, building societies or investment institutions as the Committee shall agree.

  • Cheques and other instruments shall be signed by not less than two Officers or other signatories authorised by the Committee, provided always that one of the two persons signing cheques or other instruments shall be the Chair or Treasurer.

4. DISSOLUTION
  • CAMAT may at any time be dissolved upon the recommendation of the Committee or by a resolution passed by a two-thirds majority of those present.

  • Any money or property belonging to CAMAT remaining after payment of all expenses and liabilities shall not be distributed amongst or paid to the Members of CAMAT but shall be distributed amongst charitable, not-for-profit, art related organisations having objectives similar to the objectives of CAMAT.

  • The CAMAT organisation and the Committee will remain in existence until the distribution of funds has been completed.
