Press Release - 2025
The Cookham and Maidenhead Arts Trail (CAMAT) returns for the 11th year to showcase the work of local artists on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September 2025, open 10am–5pm on both days.

This free, two-day event invites art lovers on a colourful journey through a rich network of local venues — all within a five-mile radius — highlighting the creative handiwork of approximately 50 artists across 16 venues.

CAMAT is a unique opportunity for visitors to:

  • View and purchase artworks spanning painting, sculpture, ceramics, glass and jewellery.

  • Meet artists and gain insight into their processes and inspiration, some in their creative environments.

  • Enjoy demonstrations and refreshments at some venues and community camaraderie at them all.

  • Visitors get the opportunity to buy from an artist they have met and understand the meaning behind the artwork. Artists value the feedback, which is often very uplifting.

One of our artists had a painting of a Yorkshire waterfall. The visitor recognised it and, once they had both uncovered the many connections they had, the lady said it had made her day. Art can evoke such great memories.

There are open studios, venues with 2 or 3 artists exhibiting and a number of multi-artist venues, including Braywick Nursery and St Luke's Church.  Visitors will receive a warm welcome at all venues and are welcome to browse with no obligation to buy.

As a thank you for visiting, there is a free-to-enter prize draw to win £100 towards purchasing an exhibit you have seen at one of the venues. Details are on the website.

Follow CAMAT on Facebook and Instagram for updates, including details of participating artists and the trail map.
